Sixteen Chinese nationals have been granted Indian citizenship since 2007

The minister of state for home Nityanand Rai provided the information in response to a query from DMK member Tiruchi Siva about the asylum and citizenship requests of communities from China, including Tibetans, Uyghurs, Mongolians and other dissidents, since 2019.
