BJP faces spate of defections ahead of assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh

Two ministers in the Yogi Adityanath Cabinet, Swami Prasad Maurya and Dara Singh Chauhan, have resigned recently. In total, seven MLAs have quit the party. Those who have resigned include Roshan Lal Varma, Brijendra Prajapati, Bhagwati Sharan Sagar, Avatar Singh Bhadana and Mukesh Varma.
