GST rate rejig to give ₹1.98 trillion consumption boost: SBI report

The proposed GST reforms through a two-tier tax structure and lower tax rates on household goods will lead to an estimated average revenue loss of Rs 85,000 crore a year, but will boost consumption by Rs 1.98 lakh crore, SBI Research Report said on Tuesday.
