Congress Prez poll: Kharge shuts down rumour of his name being suggested by Sonia Gandhi, says 'rumour to defame party'

In the race for the post of Congress’ president, senior leader and contestant Mallikarjun Kharge on October 11 shut down the rumour that his name was suggested by Sonia Gandhi for the elections. “Someone has spread this rumour to defame the Congress party, Sonia Gandhi and me. She has clearly stated that she will not participate in the party elections nor will she come in support of any candidate,” he said.
