Rural jobs scheme outlay may be hiked by Rs 15,000 crore

The government has already exhausted about ₹37,500 crore provided for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) till July, which is more than 50% of the total budgeted allocation.
