Govt lines up systemic reforms to lift global index ratings

According to the official, the cabinet secretariat, with the help of the Development, Monitoring and Evaluation Organisation under the Niti Aayog, is monitoring the year-on-year improvement in these indices to suggest policy changes across sectors with an aim to improve the last-mile implementation of government schemes. The 31 indices are divided into four categories - industry, development, economy and governance - and are being used to improve India's performance across important social, economic and development parameters.
