Sensex tanks over 1,000 points amid war-like situation along Russia-Ukraine border

At 9.20 am, the BSE Sensex was ruling at 56,757.97, down 925.62 points or 1.60 per cent. It was down 1,289 points at day's low of 56,394.85. The NSE Nifty stood at 16,940.75, down 265.90 points or 1.55 per cent. This index tested a sub 16,850 level at open.
