Omicron is highly transmissible, high population density may cause more cases: Dr Niranjan Mishra

Director of Public Health of Odisha, Dr Niranjan Mishra on December 18, said that due to the large population density in India, large number of people can get affected by Omicron. “As far as Omicron is concerned, the main issue is its transmissibility. Nearly 80 countries are affected which means it is highly transmissible. A large number of people can get affected in India because of large population density,” said Dr Niranjan Mishra.
