Sensex, Nifty off to weak start; midcaps take a beating; IRCTC plunges 15%

Midcap indices continued to show weakness. The NSE Midcap index, which fell over 2 per cent the previous day, fell another 1 per cent on Wednesday. Stocks such as IRCTC, MSTC and Mastek plunged up to 15 per cent.
