IT cheer lifts Sensex, Nifty to record highs

The Sensex and Nifty closed at record highs on Thursday, led by gains in information technology stocks, which rallied after Infosys upgraded its annual revenue outlook.The Nifty closed at 15,924.20, up 70.25 points or 0.44%, after hitting a new intraday record of 15,952.35.
